Last week I ran around Downtown Memphis with Carolyn + Nick on their 1 year wedding anniversary, a few hours before their dinner date at Flight, while they said a heartfelt farewell to the city where they fell in love and started a life together.

seeing life behind my own eyes is something I thought was long lost and gone for good. Leaving bedside nursing was the best impulse I’ve ever jumped on. It may not be forever, but it saved me.

Photographs are portals to past lives.

A past life I reflect on often is the life I lived during covid. It’s not one I really enjoy putting words to but one I think about unwillingly more so than not. Death was all around me and unavoidable.
