Sam + Amber’s dating anniversary was coming up and it seemed as if all Sam’s plans were leading to this moment.

He planned a beautiful date night for just the two of them where they’d go for a walk in the Gardens near their home before ending the night at a downtown restaurant they love. A romantic yet not so out of the blue date night turned into one that changed their lives forever.

Sam called me and told me all about his love story with Amber and told me about his grand idea to ask her to be his wife!

I was all in.

After walking the entire gardens with a map, sam found the perfect spot where he wanted everything to go down.

He dropped me a pin to the secluded Hydrangea gardens deep inside the Memphis Botanic Gardens where he’d slowly lead Amber to, planning to pour out his heart and drop to one knee with a ring.

Sam thought of every detail. He sent me a Spotify playlist he and Amber had built together with songs that felt like their love. I hid a small speaker in a bush playing their playlist on loop with a Champagne bottle hidden as well. Sam also shared his location with me so we’d be right on queue to pull this off in the perfect timing.

Hand in hand, Sam snuck Amber around the corner and lead her to her favorite flowers the hydrangeas. He began telling her how much she means to him slowly getting down on one knee. Behind a tree, I snapped away as the tears fell (we were all crying okay) and let these two have their moment for as long as they wished before Sam broke that 4th wall and pointed out my hiding spot. Proposals will always be my number one.
